About Us.

The seed of Guacamayo was planted 25 years ago, and today that vision is beginning to flourish. Founder, Adriana, is shaping a place where people with a shared love for conservation can come together, supporting the Macaw Release Programme and nurturing the future of these magnificent birds and their habitat.

Founder, Adriana Oliveira

Rangana’s journey weaves together psychology, business, and a lifelong love for nature. With over 30 years of experience in conservation, she has dedicated her life to restoring landscapes, protecting wildlife, and helping communities reconnect with the natural world.

Together with her husband Charlie, she co-founded Tree Resource Ltd, a family-run business in the UK specialising in creating treescapes and promoting conservation. Their shared vision has helped shape meaningful green spaces across the country — places where people and nature can thrive side by side.

Co-Founder, Charlie Noton

With over 25 years of experience as an arboricultural consultant and dendrologist, Charlie has dedicated his life to understanding tree and woodland ecology, with a particular focus on soil vitality and the restoration of natural systems. His passion for trees began early, growing into a lifelong fascination with their environmental impact and the hidden networks that connect and sustain them.

A rewilding expert at heart, Charlie is driven by a desire to reconnect the world with nature through his deep appreciation of the ecology and morphology of ancient and veteran trees.

He believes in the genetic strength of ancient trees and collects seeds from the wild, selecting the strongest to restore landscapes and build resilient ecosystems. His profound understanding of trees and their interconnectivity guides his conservation work from the UK to Guacamayo in Costa Rica.
